Training opportunities are offered regularly by members of the Schools Team, especially in relation to Church school distinctiveness and preparation for SIAMS Inspections, or the appointment of headteachers.  Officers will also support individual governing body working groups in school, or attend governing body meetings on request.

The Church of England has published a Charter and resources to support schools in delivering Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE).

The resources can be used to establish what the community can expect from a school’s RSE, recognising that all schools need to be sensitive to the faiths and beliefs of their school community, whether they are a church school or not.
