Becoming an Academy?

DEMAT – the Diocese of Ely Multi Academy Trust – was founded to enable Diocesan Church Schools to become academies. More information can be found by visiting http://www.demat.org.uk.

Since inception it has grown from strength-to-strength, and welcomed a significant number of schools, including community schools. This is because the Trust succeeds by welcoming applications from individual schools as well as existing school clusters, thus preserving and strengthening the whole local educational community, for the befit of the whole locality, regardless of school type.

The Trust is open to applications from all schools within or proximal to, the Diocese of Ely.  Schools wishing to discuss converting to academy status within DEMAT should initially contact Adrian Ball, Chief Executive Officer

Criteria needs to be met for a school to be admitted to DEMAT, and this will be discussed on application.
